Discover the idea

01 / THE IDEA

A face you can
actually hold.

The lines. The shape. The things that make someone unmistakably themselves.

The first version lets you create your own digital death mask with the iPhone app. Make one of yourself, or someone who has agreed to it. View it in 3D, choose a finish and create framed images and videos.

Our goal is to turn that artwork into a physical mask you can order and have sent through the post. Each digital mask is an artistic interpretation of its subject. Physical ordering will follow separately.

A record of a life still being lived.

02 / HOW IT WORKS

Your face.
A mask to keep.

01

Begin with the app.

The iPhone app guides you through creating your own mask. Getting started is free; one digital mask is created with a one-off in-app purchase. There is no subscription.

02

Make it your own.

View your digital mask in 3D, choose a finish and frame, then save or share an image or video. Keep a copy of the model to return to.

03

A physical mask, next.

We are working towards printed masks delivered to your home. Orders are not open yet; materials, finishes and pricing will be confirmed before launch.

The digital app targets compatible iPhones running iOS 26 or later. Creating a mask needs an internet connection.

03 / DISPLAY STUDIES

How might it
live with you?

A face that matters to you, in a place that feels like home. These studies show the physical masks we are working towards. How you display yours will be up to you.

The product is the death mask only. Display and hanging arrangements are your own. Images are illustrative; final mask materials and finishes may differ.

04 / A FEW QUESTIONS

Before you
leave your mark.

What is Not Dead Yet?

Not Dead Yet lets you create a digital death mask of yourself: a 3D artwork you can view, keep and share. The longer-term goal is to let you order a physical mask delivered to your home. We are launching the digital app first; physical ordering is not yet available.

Why call it a death mask if I am alive?

A traditional death mask records the face of someone who has died. Not Dead Yet starts with a living person. It is a sculptural self-portrait, with a sense of humour about the name.

Which iPhones will it work with?

The app targets compatible iPhones running iOS 26 or later. Creating a digital mask needs an internet connection.

Where does my face data go?

The app asks for your agreement before sending your face images for processing. Your original images stay on your iPhone. Its privacy policy explains what is sent, how it is processed, and storage and deletion options before you upload. Physical production and delivery handling will be explained before orders open.

Can I order a physical mask?

Not yet. Our goal is to let you order your own 3D printed death mask and have it delivered to your home. We have a printing partner lined up and are launching the digital app first. Materials, finishes and pricing will be confirmed before physical orders open.

When is it launching?

We are preparing the digital app for release first. There is no confirmed launch date, and physical ordering is not yet available. Join the waiting list for news as each stage is ready.

YOUR DATA

A small list.
A clear purpose.

When you join, Not Dead Yet stores your email address, signup time and your permission to receive launch updates. Your email is used for app launch news, not sold or used for unrelated marketing.

No face data is collected by this website. An appearance preference is saved in your browser. This site does not use advertising trackers.

A new signup receives a private removal link on screen. Keep that link to delete your entry. Launch emails include an unsubscribe link. This signup does not send an automatic email.

Brendan Cleaves operates this waiting list. GPT Sites hosts the website and securely stores signups. Resend processes email addresses when launch emails are sent. Removing your signup deletes your email address from the waiting list and stops future sends. Minimal delivery records may remain with the email provider. Contact brendancleaves@me.com about your data. We keep the list for the launch announcement or until you remove your signup. Any later newsletter needs a separate choice.
